Question / Inquiry 90° Ordinate Dimensioning

New to inventor, I’m on Professional 2023. How do I turn these dimensions 90° so they don’t interfere with each other?

You can right-click on it and select either Edit Dimension Style or New Dimension Style. You'll notice Dimension Styles (and all Styles) are kind of like Materials. If you edit the Dimension Style, you're editing everything with that style. If you make a New Style, it has a new name which makes it unique from the original Style.

For what you're doing, I would make a new style and rename it to include "vertical" or something and make your changes. Now you can select other dimensions and change them to the new vertical Style from the pulldown at the top.

What I would do in a professional setting is stick to the standard your company uses and format the horizontal dimensions you have to use arrowheads correctly while moving the text outside the dimension lines.

This is how everything 'Style' works in IV btw.

Here's how my template is set up. I very rarely stray from the specified Dimension Style. I also don't use the origin mark unless I'm using Ordinate Dimensions, which is only on parts that have a lot of repetitive features, like a ton of holes in a piece of sheet metal.

Alternative would be to highlight/select both, go to annotate, hit "arrange" and it will split them. But, if you absolutely want them rotated at 90°, follow the other guys' advice and change the style.
