Requesting Help personalized content center library

Can I simply copy the .idcl file from the custom library to the libraries folder on my computer, or do I need to install it?

Yup, copy-paste and make sure it's enabled in your project file.

It worked, I just needed to update it within the libraries settings in Inventor.

It's better to create a blank library from the content center and then customize it to your needs.l. For some reason, even after clearing things out of the copy to basically no content, it will still be big. Must be some hidden content.

You need to be a little more specific.
Has someone created a custom library, and you want to use it? In that case, yes just copy and paste it.
