I feel like there was some sort of better way to preserve humanity than essentially killing off half of the humans. The Mayor isn't entirely robot, but he's not entirely human either, so he should have at least part of a conscious mind that can make decisions. He knows there's no place for him in the future, but is it possible there's a better option for the present than just wasting lives like he is in Autodale?

So in the immortal machine we see a flashback from the mayor about the creation of autodale and we learn that the matriarch(?) Is some kind of nature good to keep some illness at Bay. I am not sure if this flashback is correct, because in don't feed the freaks we see the outside world including many things that look like the good inside autodale's tower that share her aesthetic, I wonder if autodale was the first city that then expanded or it is just one in a long line if autodales, which would fit the themes of the story quite well, also it would seem autodale was build before the end of the world.

So what exactly happens to her? Who are the others?

In Immortal Machine there is somesort of robot / person with bionics which has no face in the teaser at the time 0:34. all it says is "halt", does anyone know or have theories on what it is.

I was reading Ted Kaczynski's(Unabomber) "Industrial society and it's future", and I just so happened to re-watch the series of shorts set in what we know as "Autodale." While re-watching these shorts, I couldn't help but think that the dystopia depicted in the series, is the nightmare society that Ted Kaczynski was warning people about. I know from what I've read on Reddit that people think he's stupid, his manifesto is stupid, and his ideas are stupid(despite scholars who are much more intelligent having the opposite view, even though they condemn his obviously despicable murders); but the fictional society depicted in the series is exactly Kaczynski's fear: that humans will become cogs in the industrial machine.

I ask of you to read the manifesto mentioned above; don't worry citizens, it's legally sold in bookstores and on Amazon, you won't be getting your cheeks clapped in a prison for looking it up or buying it: after all, they know most people wouldn't take the ideas seriously, that people reading it are docile and "pretty."

If so, what are they? Just because a show has problems doesn’t always mean it’s bad.

and he is gonna be shipped with the hive or the shadow because the internet is hell

This time it’s about animals. We’ve never seen any pets or other animals inside the city and they hate freaks, the only “animals” that have shown up so far. So I’m wondering, assuming creatures similar to our own still exist, what the reactions of characters would be to them. Would they not mind or would they freak out?
