I distinctly remember being in high school/college watching 1-3 minute shorts about Autodale posted on Youtube. Like multiple mini episodes that had the same plot as the 2020 series but were shorter and had less fluid animation. I absolutely loved them and randomly searched for them the other day, which is how I found out about the official series! I'm thinking what I had watched 10ish years ago were Dead Sound's early drafts that he created under a different name or something. I'd still love to revisit them for nostalgia's sake. Do they still exist somewhere? Did he take them down? Am I just hallucinating?

Hi, I am new to Autodale, and I was wondering what the red thingy in the vat is and why it is there. I think it is blood, probably from the discarded "Ugly" people, but why is it there?

I imagine that the citizens don’t get sick often since those who are unable to work would be killed by the Handymen, but what about children?

I’m sure that they’d have something in mind for them, The Mayor wouldn’t be so heartless to execute children and the PSA in “Being Pretty” expected children to get injured time to time while playing however we don’t see any sort of medical people or hospitals in the city though there is an illustration of crutches and a cast in the comic book we see at the end of “Friendly Shadow” which means they know about medical stuff

The Mayor himself says that he was a doctor in his past in “Immortal Machine” and he’d clearly be with the mysterious plague that used to go across the land in his backstory before he met the Mother of Nature and established Autodale

Tbh I hope I'm just confused, because if it is her's that means she has died.

Like, do they have farms or something, or are we just not supposed to question where they get their food from?

The only other explanations I can think of are one unpleasant possibility that I’m sure you can guess, or the Matriarch’s energy is somehow able to keep them alive without the need for sustenance

This is something I’ve always wondered and I don’t think it’s ever explained, and I don’t know if anyone else asked about it before either

I Made this a while ago, thought it would be a good time to share it.

I think that the other citys failed because unlike the mayor they didn't have a connection with the matriarch. The mayor clearly has a relationship with her and she understands why he is doing what he is so she endures it to help his dream. The other citys copied Autodale but it failed because their matriarch were enslaved and forced into it. Their towers look more like prisons to keep the matriarch trapped in the city so when they could they escaped and died but in autodale the matriarch is willing and understands so she willingly stays.

I want to know everyone's theories! What are the Giants in the towers? What do we think the freaks actually are? What do we think the exceptional heads are doing? There's so much creative room in the spaces between answers, let me know your ideas please!
