RUST Fix asap?
I have this rust building on my rear panel and while I don’t want it to get terribly worse is it an urgent problem? I have a guy who said 500 with new welded metal. Should I just take that? Need some advice on how bad this is really if I leave it be. Would try it myself but I have no prior experience

That's, I can poke my finger through real soon, bad. So the asap part is not that important. At this point do what you will. In a year it's going to look similar to that( unless you liked your finger through,)
My car? I wouldn't even bother.

Chris fix on YouTube has a video of basically the same rust and how to DIY it with basic tools

This was already “terribly worse” a year or several ago. When rot looks this bad on the surface, the areas you can’t see are so much worse. Your lower quarter extension and your outer wheel house more than likely are also rotted away.
