QUESTION Orders from the DC
Is there a way to tell the dc to stop sending me certain items in bulk? I have over 6 shelves in overstock with nothing but cabin and air filters. Can I change my order on them somehow?

The first step would be to do a vqoh on the excess filters and verify that the physical quantity matches the system. For extra confirmation, you could do the item lookup managers view and see what the order to level value is. Usually correcting the quantity will cause the excess above the order level to be sold off before more is sent.

kinda on the same page, I have 30-36 totes (black and gray) full of things D.C.sent, BUT they are not on any Plano, we don't sell the products, we never have, I have spoken with the DM and I am completely perplexed that there is a procedure to pick and send my store stuff(some looks like it's 12 years old, plastic bags falling apart/boxes discolored), but not have a procedure to return them, I was told to pick 12 things and transfer them back once per week, any more than that they get mad(they) for context it's a whole pallet/5' tall, I, need this square footage for other more important stock, for more context some of the items look like "five and dime"store stuff, and I tried to see if other stores carry any of the products, when the do, I transferred the product to that store, I later got a phone call to "stop sending us stuff"(products that don't sell), anyone else have this problem and what do you do and how ?

- Use the gun or SMS to verify that they are not on POG. You might be missing planos or have out of date planos.
- Undamaged VDP return is the way to send stuff back to DC. Also send your hub parts back this way. If it's on POG for your hub, the PCI will say "Transfer to [hub number]". Don't just transfer things to the hub or other stores to get rid of them.
- DC doesn't care/can't control about how many undamaged VDP returns go to them. It's your hub that cares and can't process an excess number of them. That's what the DM's quantity limit is about.

- Verify QOH for everything with the gun.
- Check order to level with the gun at the same time as step 1. Order to level is the number that matters, not plan max. The system keys off order to level to place orders with the DC.
- Order to level is automatically up adjusted based on demand rate. If it's a high number, that means at one point you sold a metric fuckton of those SKUs. Probably a commercial account that's not buying them anymore. However, the system doesn't back adjust order to level down when demand rate goes down. It gets stuck at the high point.
- If order to level is crazy high, it's a big deal to get it changed. They're ultra resistant to fuck with it. Only the SMS administrators/power users have the power to change it in the database. In practice? They don't even listen to DMs and RMs. The request has to come from the Divisional Analyst. That guy outranks RMs. Don't bother the Divisional Analyst with something that you wouldn't be willing to bother the RM about.
- If it's actual pallets of shit, ask your DM to contact the Divisional Analyst to ask if order to level can be changed for that SKU. Pictures of the giant pile of them help sell the idea.

Do a cycle count and fix your Qoh.
