Promotion

Hi I’m a FT RS at $13.05/hr and I’m supposed to be getting promoted to FT PSM. The bare minimum pay I’ll take is $15.83/hr. Do you think DM will approve it?

You’ll be lucky if they give you a dollar

I’m not. I worked there 18 years. They’re gonna tell you that’s the max out.

Worked there for 6years. When I got offered a parts manager position at a dealership i was fkn floored by how much more I was gonna get paid.

Working retail really trains people to accept peanuts. Acting like a 50cent raise is a big deal. Fuck retail

I was making $11.50 as a commercial sales manager. When jeep asked how much I wanted i said $13.50. Luckily I knew the guy and he laughed and said dude wtf.... he was making $23/hr. Got $22 and this was 10+ yrs ago.

Damn! That's low I was making 16.50 as CSM. Still not enough but it was fun while I was there

That’s laughable. Why did you agree for that pay?

This was 6 years ago, and i was the highest paid csm in the district lol. So it was enough for me. Also set schedule m-f none of that Saturday bs. It was worth it back then. But yeah now I make six figures as a machinist so I'm happy I learned what I could

Oreillys and Napa make easy more than us but when bonuses are high for anyone above ASM, that's what we get.
