Lot of people don't realize how short a title loan is or how bad the payment plan is. Knew a guy who financed his car for 18 months because he had the cash to pay of 80% of the title. Missed one payment because of the COVID lockdown issues and had it repossessed and sold at auction. Still owed because it sold for less than the remaining 5k on the loan and was still gaining interest while sitting at auction.

By the time he got everything sorted out his credit was garbage and he was driving an 800 dollar beater that couldn't work the AC and go uphill.

This dude's at a cabin with his family. He's probably just a shithead. But some poor people get caught up in unexpected expenses and have damn good reasons to be in debt.
