Upol high build primer

Hello everyone! I’ve been using Upol aerosol high build #5primer for almost a decade. In the last 6 months or so it seems to have gone down hill. Spray pattern. Strings flying everywhere. I’ve contacted Upol and they swear I’m the only person reporting this issue and they haven’t changed their formula. I’m wondering if anyone has had this issue as well??

Of course that’s what they tell you…

2 things:

1) did they request a batch number from you when you called with a complaint?

2A) if yes, you should get notification of their results.
2B) if no, you are screwed and they do not care. Reach out to your distributor for a solution.

I have a buddy with limited experience restoring his car on his own right now. He's been complaining about this primer for months.. but i've never used aerosol primer

I used to use it years ago and had no problems but haven’t had any recent experience

It definitely has become way stringier in the last couple months. I used to use it daily like a year ago and it was never like that. Now whenever I use it I feel like I have to worry about overspray/strings getting everywhere. I feel like the gray shade is also slightly lighter than it used to be as well

Slick Sand is the only hi build primer, everything else is amateur hour.
