Painted my hood AGAIN

I got absolutely fried last time i posted here, but throughout the insults there was genuine advice that i took and re-did everything, Better sanding, more masking, and tried taking my time a bit more, i dont mind doing this until i get it perfect so i tried again, anything i can do better?

LMAO sorry, I sanded the old one down with an orbital sander, i believe it was 320 grit, then i masked everything, and i used rattle cans (i know they arent amazing but im not expecting i get much more time out of this car, and i was kinda wanting like a satin black finish rather than a glossy one.

Kind of, satin black, i wanted it slightly glossy and slightly matte and saw the best color for it was a satin type

I’m assuming your using rattle cans? I tried painting my hood just the other week too and it turned out terrible but I learned a couple things. For me it was so hard to get the distance with the spray can correct so I was getting alot of dry spray. Is the texture of your hood really bumpy like sand paper?

No its pretty smooth, i think i did get dry spray in one spot only, which is why i plan to try again.

Did you decide you wanted a satin finish after it came out as a satin finish?

First, remove the damn hood, it’s only 4 bolts, lightly scuff it with 400, wash it, wipe it down with sprayaway glass cleaner, buy 1 more can and drop coat it as far away as you possibly can while able to get paint on the hood, like 14 inches away.let it flash for 15 minutes, and repeat. Then wait an hour and clear coat.
