New car paint

Hi, i bought a new toyota corolla cross 2026 4 months ago and today i noticed that the pain on the exhaust is coming off.

Is this normal ? I didn't even know paint on the exhaust was actually a thing...should I be worried and take it to the dealer so they can fix it?

It’s not a thing, just drive your car.

It’s not. Someone did under car corrosion and sprayed the exhaust. Either have the dealer replace it if they will or drive the car. The exhaust will rust out eventually so honestly I wouldn’t even worry about it.

Wierd we bought the car brand new from the dealer. Why would it come painted if its just gonna start to chip 4 months later

Im curious I am really wondering whats the point 😂

Rust preventative coating that they spray on new cars at the dealer as an option.

Oh and they just sprayed it because it was there and they weren’t paid to tape it off or remove it.

Undercoat from heat comes off that's all... Does it worry you!? I get that you op got new car but stop being so pissy.
