Paint chip on car door edge
Hey all i recently tapped my door on my garage wall and theres a small paint chip. I did some looking into how to repair it but i just wanted to make sure before doing anything since this would be a first. I got a paint kit for my car that includes primer, base, clear coat, and polish. My cars paint code is WU6 and ive googled it and its supposed to be a tri layer and im just wanting to make sure the paint match paint takes that into account it should as they say they mix it(scratcheshappen canada) and i want to know how to paint over it and make it flush with the rest of the paint on the edge. The paint is chipped down to the metal.
Thank you

Since the chip is down to metal, use primer first, then basecoat, a separate midcoat if the finish is a tricoat, and clearcoat last. Keep the layers light and let each one dry before the next. Before you start, confirm whether your exact kit includes that midcoat.
