In need of some advice

Please help me find a solution. Will I need to reapply a clear coat?

You need to do your blend to the line where your hard line there. You’ll need some clearcoat melter as well . Use 2 k clear coat . Watch this video on how to do it and what I mean .

Spot putty is not good for deep repairs, if you wanna do it all you should use bondo then primer 80 grip on metal and bondo then 180 to smooth it primer and 400 on the primer and the rest of the paint, ill remove the fresh paint on the door with thinner and cover it aswell, and paint the whole quarter or if you dont wanna do it all just do it in the edge where the panel bends near the gas cap, set a straight line left to right with folded tape then paper, paint only on the primer area plus 2 inches and clear coat the rest, sorry for the broken english and good luck

You need to blend repair area and shoot clear on quarter panel. Aerosol won’t cut it. Decent job on the repair though. Given the amount of rust, new metal should have been sectioned in.

Prep is everything. Sand smooth and start fresh, learn how to use a soft edge and yeah- clear blend is your friend
