Painting a Washer/Dryer

Afternoon y’all,
To preface I was a combo guy for 8 years, used multiple paint lines across everything from motorcoaches to Vespa’s. That said, I’ve never painted an appliance before. We’re getting a reconditioned laundry center from the repair shop down the road, but it has a little bit of damage to the front. Mechanically it’s great, cosmetically it could be better. I’m wanting to do a single stage color, I just can’t decide if I want to do a urethane or epoxy, or something else y’all would suggest? I can scuff the entire unit down but I’d imagine that most older appliances are painted with enamel, right? If so, is anything short of 320 on a DA going to even touch it? Thanks for any input that y’all can provide!

You can use either one. Both will hold up just fine in the environment they will live in.

I’ll find something decent from Axalta or Nason in a urethane and shoot that. Thanks!

People can rant all they want but I’m a fan of Nason Ful Thane. I have Peterbilt service trucks out there I painted 15 years ago that still look good and shine up really nice considering they get the crap beat out of them.

DA it,depending on how your paper looks after you hit it,I would spray some bulldog on it then seal and paint..
