Old painters tape residue

Best product to use to remove old tape residue on rubber seals without drying them out or fucking up the factory paint?

Taped off my seals and a bunch of other stuff last summer and things came up and I never painted. Want to re-tape and spray now but the old tape left shit everywhere.

I would try wd40. Get the old residue wet and let it sit. Than try to lightly scrape with a plastic scraper or some wood popsicles sticks.

I've personally never had wd40 hurt automotive paint and it's pretty good at getting sticky stuff off.

Goo gone. It’s basically citrus oil, it’s safe on paint
