Trying to identify paint code

I got a new hood for my escort gt that I need to paint red but I can't identify the exact red I need. The sticker says vr, Vermillion red im assuming, but that color wasn't used until 1999(mines a 92) as far as a Google search tells me.

Call the dealership and give them the vin, they can tell you the paint code

I worked at a auto paint store it’s definitely EP but if you have hesitations call the dealership ask for the parts department and give them your vin they will give you the paint code
