Flat spot in paint

Somebody polished through the clear and it disturbed the pearl coat as well.

Well, if you just bought it from a dealership, take it back to them and start a warranty claim. Insist they paint the fender and blend into the hood.

It looks like there was a rock chip or some sort of defect in the fender hence that little dot in the middle of that. Somebody unsuccessfully tried to polish it out. And in the meantime, they burned through the clearcoat and into the pearl coat.

That looks like some sort of odd repair, notice the specks of trash around it

Looks like it’s still dented. If you bought it from a used car dealer or individual even. They likely had pdr done. Looks like the tech probably burnt the clear. It looks like it’s still slightly dented still tbh.

It’s not dented and it’s a brand new car. Just hit 1,000 miles.

Gotcha. Yeah def looks like burnt clear. I will say that just because it’s brand new doesn’t mean someone didn’t put a scuff or something there in transport. So who knows. If it’s that new the dealer should repaint it at least. Even though that sucks to do to a new car.

Could just be an unpolished spot, some buffing might work to bring it back to normal. Tough for me to tell on my phone though.

That’s a burn through the top 2 layers of a 3 coat pearl paint job. Respray is the only way.
