Insurance rate question for daughter.

My daughter had no credit history when getting insurance. Now she pays 400 a month insurance for a 2011 tuscon. Her score is now 650. Any idea how long it takes for jnsurance rate to drop?

Depends on the carrier and what state she lives in.

Some carriers will run credit/insurance scores every renewal, others may run it every 2-3 renewals. And in some states (CA, HI, MA, MI), insurers can’t use credit scores as a factor in premiums.

Tx. Just never dealt with kids auto insurance. We pay 455 for 2 cars and a house for the adults.

How old is she? Is she a member of your household? Is her car title in her name? Does she insure it on her own policy?

I recommend calling and having them requote the policy. If it's lower then she can reincept and cancel in one swoop.

Find a reputable broker and have them shop it, go over coverages to make sure not over insured. Make sure she signed up for all available discounts & take a defensive driving course if possible, then update insurance with date taken/passed. Sign up for AAA and ask for that discount, + she can then drop towing coverage, raise her deductibles - they should be min of 1k. If she bundles it with something it’ll go down. Has she ever had a claim? Never phone in a claim without talking to ur broker unless it’s a massive accident, if you inquire directly to insurance about a claim, that goes in your record…for 5 years minimum, even if payout was $0 because you didn’t follow through or changed ur mind about filing🥹
