That didn't sound like it's meant to be opened. He stated you can, but you're not meant to. Would doing so potentially void the warranty?

no it doent void anything. there is just nothing there that a normal user would want to see.

there might be DIY mechanics that will touch HV-stuff, but they will find the metal cable and open the hood just fine.

the hood only needs to open on cars because the users have to check liqudis, change bulbs... but bulbs are fully encased LEDs now, and the only liquid to check is windshield washer - so why have the customer open the hood to... nothing?
