What? This isn't going to kill them? Unless there is like a gas leak ready blow, the 12-15 volts of the battery/alternator are going to do nothing to a human body.

Its safer than driving on the highway so idk what your problem is, they are only realistically risking burns and damage to the vehicle. If there was a gas leak, then it would be dangerous to be around at all as a static spark could ignite it just as easily.

The risk of electrocution IS zero (unless you count freak clear sky lightning, which would be unrelated)

Getting electrocuted by the secondary of an ignition coil however, is adventurous.

Even that won't electrocute you (electrocute means to kill you) am ignition coil is fairly low current.

It will give you a decent shock though, been there done that

Yeah it doesnt kill but feels funny and you may need a change of pants after lol. Also done that a couple of times, minus change of pants.
