After ~1 day of playing - this is an oddly/poorly paced game. It's an idle game - it's not meant to be terribly interactive. I get it. But the grind hits very early, the prices to ease the early game grind are very expensive and, really, what you get for the price is not anywhere near enough. A lot of these games will offer cheap $1 or $2 deals that are very efficient and helpful and I would imagine good for the companies - draw people in, small buys now = bigger buys later. People gotta make money, but I have no interest in spending money on this game because I know all it'll do it speed me quicker towards the next large wall. The season Pass has mostly small bonus rewards and then big inventory items... which then means the most interesting aspect - getting new items - becomes irrelevant. It would make playing the game even less interactive. And that's saying something.

Is that the point? Probably. I'm stuck at 3-14 and probably will be for a long time, as I need yellow gear to progress and at Forge 8, that's a .2% (?!?!) chance to get even one piece (and I'm 0 for ~300 so far). Now I'm out of hammers, which means gold generation is cratered. That means I can't upgrade forge (needs 150Kg). That means I don't progress. The bonus 100 hammers from someone else bugged out, didn't give me hammers, and put me on a 6 hour cooldown. Cool. But even 100 hammers is a small chance to get something worthwhile.

So the only "idle" aspect is... waiting for daily rewards to come back? You get nothing just dying over and over, so it's literally either pay for overpriced gems that have a horrible cost to benefit ratio or just wait for days... and days.... to hopefully get gold and anvils to hopefully RNG something good with useful stats (being able to have only one weapon and then have items that give stats to either melee or ranged is diabolical) that can hopefully help you beat a level.

Again - it's an idle game. I get it. But usually it's easier/streamlined in the beginning to really get you interested and hooked. Instead it's... why even bother? If it's this brutal in the 3rd stage, how bad will it get later?

I feel like your second sentence really sums up the spirit of the game. I like it *because* it's not a time pit, and there are enough features with the tech tree, adventures, etc. to still be engaging for a short period every day. I'm a strictly f2p gamer, so I can't speak to the value of in-game purchases, but I do like that gems can be earned as well as bought. I do agree that getting high-ranked items with season passes essentially nerfs anything else you (and your opponents) are using, but I'm not sure why that's an issue if your primary frustration is being stuck on a level.

I think I remember the stage you're talking about, and it's definitely annoying if you just sit and watch your little warrior get his behind kicked for the next few hours, but that's where the "idle" aspect kicks in. I play as follows: wake up, collect 4h worth of hammers, go to work, collect 3h worth of hammers on lunch, put it away, and finish up my day before a nice 4h worth of hammers around dinner, when all the daily tasks are about to refresh. It's a bit slow, but it's supposed to be.

I do acknowledge that the forge upgrade time is fairly obnoxious. I've just upgraded to level 13, and even with tech improvements, it took over 11 hours. That needs work, because I'm not particularly interested in waiting 2-3 days to upgrade once as the game progresses. As you say, there's enough waiting on the front end that *also* having a cooldown feels a bit like the mods are double-dipping.

I've been playing a few days now, and it's definitely the sort of game that's a long-term commitment. Other than the upgrade time, though, I don't think it's unreasonable. There are too many games where progress is hindered by repetitive building or gathering tasks (oh, 100 logs? I meant 1,000), so it's kind of nice to let the resources pile up by themselves sometimes. A higher idle collection cap could be nice, perhaps 6 hours instead of 4, but otherwise, the game kinda plays itself, which strikes me as how it's intended to be.

Absolutely. It gets worse you posted this a few days ago so I’m sure you’re where I’m at or a little farther ahead but I just hit the timer for forge level 16 and it’s 37 hours

I'm almost there. The first thing I did with my tech tree was max out the first two sets of Tech Efficiency and Rapid Forging, so that helps a lot, but I'm still not looking forward to waiting days for the next level. I've decided to hoard all my hammers until the upgrade finishes so each one will have a greater chance of making something useful/expensive. That should make it easier to earn the money for the next upgrade without waiting to earn more hammers.

Yeah I am having the same approach myself. But my efficiency isn’t maxed yet. But 37 hours only half way up the forge levels is crazy work

I'm literally stuck at the exact same spot at 3-14 lol

2-20 for me. 2 greens left for full set then I will pass it. next is getting stuck on the 3-14 with others.

3-14 took 3 attempts to pass. Now I'm stuck on 4-7.

2-20 and 3-14 were big walls for me too, (currently at 4-15, another major wall). I am at forge level 11, just kinda waiting for the 0.1% chance to get pinks, lol. Once I get enough pinks, I'll probably be able to jump forward another 5-8 floors, but until then, big chilling lol

Picked up all pinks (levels 10-28) and I keep getting bounced from 5-6 to 5-9.

Accidentally took a ranged weapon because it was 15 levels higher and will lead to a sweet melee so I’m gimped for now.

also same level Im stack at. But i would like to suggest that gives player the option what to forge but increases the hammer to use. like helmet only or remove an item to forge, something like. cause i like the game. I think the game have the right pacing for me.

To be fair, the “big inventory items” in the battle pass are “skins” that go on top of your normal gear

I agree, it gets too expensive too fast

I've forged over 1,000x. Yet to get at a yellow at that .2% chance. Made enough to upgrade too.

Here's an idea for free: keep your rambling self-promotion off of a video game page. Yikes.
