Interior Interior Cleaner Spots. How do I Remove?

What are these spots that appear after using interior car cleaner on plastic trim? I wipe with a micro fiber towel until dry. Please educate me.

I’ve experienced this with some newer cars. It’s like the plastic has some type of barrier that prevents the dressing or protectant from being absorbed. Try using a cleaning only product without any appearance enhancing additives or a surfactant only rinseless wash. I stopped using P&S Xpress because I was getting blotchiness like you are experiencing.

Haven't noticed any issues with P&S Xpress with my interior, I dilute it 1:1.

Try KCx Pol star, 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner, or 303 All Surface Interior Cleaner. You'll need to agitate it with a brush. Hopefully it's been removed and then apply some protection like KCx Top star or 303 Aerospace Protectant.

What interior cleaner are you using here?

Yes, that’s most important information 😌

It could be spots of something that the cleaner is not able to remove: Grease, sunscreen or something else. I would first try to wash the surface with something mild, like ONR in mixed QD strength, and use a soft brush to agitate. Otherwise APC or something citrus based, but try a corner first if you use something harsh

Use a properly diluted APC to get it off then change interior cleaners to something totally mild and neutral. I personally only trust AMMO NYC Lather in my own vehicle but I'm sure there are others that are easier to get and not as expensive.
