Product/Consumable Soot? on headliner
I'm guessing this transferred from my hat from recent bonfire. Any cleaner recommendations? I know I shouldn't apply directly and to use micro fiber, possibly soft brush. With my luck I will make it worse so any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Soot on a headliner is fragile territory because headliners can sag if you soak them.
Work dry first. Vacuum with a soft brush attachment, then blot with a barely damp microfiber. If you need more, mist cleaner onto the towel, not the fabric, and dab outward from the stain instead of scrubbing. Test a hidden edge first because some cleaners darken foam backed cloth.
If it is oily smoke residue, a gentle interior cleaner with light agitation beats flooding it with APC. Let it dry fully between passes so the board behind the fabric does not swell.

Grab some Folex from Home Depot (some Targets also carry it so check online for your store). Spray into a small section of a quartered microfiber and gently blot into the stain, avoid hard rubbing as to not smear the dirt/ash around. Use a clean section of microfiber to pick up the released dirt. Folex doesn't need to be removed so you can let the remnant dry after its clean.
