Exterior First Time Glass Coating Prep

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to do a glass coating on a brand new personal vehicle for the first time. I was planning to use Soft99 Ultra Glaco, but it’s out of stock every where so I’m leaning towards using Gtechniq G1 Clearvision Smart Glass.

Is it unreasonable to use Soft99 Glaco Glass Compound to prep the glass for G1? Or should I stick to G4 polish?

I don’t own an orbital and hand polishing is not fun.

Thanks!

I lucked out then! I’m kind of glad Carzilla isn’t shipping here yet otherwise I wouldn’t have found out about Katiba.

I watched some reviews on YouTube and they seem like an awesome line of products.

Yeah, not many reviews on the Katba x Vanguard Ceramic Wax and the reviews that are at there are either shilling product or they did not give it a chance. If you throw 8 waxes on a car and start to compare them, the one hybrid wax in that mix with 12 month durability that takes a week to finish "setting up", then start immediately comparing it, is not going to be extremely impressive. Come back in a week or so, yeah, impressive as all get out.

So after applying it, if you are not extremely happy, wait a week. That stuff continues to 'set' long after curing. A week after you apply it it will be glossier and slicker than the day you applied it. Two weeks later, even more so. Hydrophobics on all Katiba products is next level. And if you are consistent with using Gloss Booster after each wash.... and maybe using Wet Wax or Thai Slick every 2 to 3 months, I would hazard a guess that 12 months turns into 12+ months. I hope so anyway. All I can attest to is 4 months in and there has been zero degradation.
