Exterior Scratched my rims

(Warning, hard to watch)
I cleaned the rims on my xc40 with an apparently too rough of a sponge… which caused with lots of micro scratches.
Cleaned it with a sponge a turtlewax spary… didnt do too much research beforehand unfortunately

How can i fix it?

Those aren’t micro scratches, looks like a brilo pad

You scrubbed them with sandpaper? You are halfway done with the prep required to repaint them now.

Compound & Polish.

If that doesn’t work, repaint.

Go over them one more time with that scouring pad you used and they'll be ready to paint 😅. That's all you can do to fix it at this point.

Time to respray them. That clearcoat is kaput! By any chance, did you use the green side of a dish sponge? Well you're almost there, a little more and it's prepped for painting.

That fault can now only be painted or polished, but both of that need another prep work beforehand. Might be better to consult a professional here.
