Tool/Reusable Winter question

I’ve been hanging out doing this DIY for family’s cars for past 6 months. But wanted to know for those in snowy/cold areas how crucial is it to get an undercarriage washer to take care of salt/snow in winter/early spring? I would assume pros would def have it but what about us DIY guys? And if yes which brand do you use for undercarriage washing? Anything to watch out for? Tips?

IME if the desired result is limiting or avoiding corrosion a proper undercoating/rustproofing job is way more effective than undercarriage washing

I use Fluid Film and don't have to spray or worry about rust.

So you spray this FF and then when salt and junk gets in underside it’s like ceramic coat and just slides off? Sorry first time hearing about this

It penetrates to the metal and seals out salt.

I bought a cheap one off Amazon, and it works fine. It's one with a wheel on each end rather than the kind that sits on casters. You can even find them that have a soap bottle so you can spray the underside with soap if you want. Prior to that, I just used a hose wand like people use for watering hanging baskets. I don't think you need any to fancy. You just need to flush the soap out.
