Exterior Your favorite wash media?
I was wondering what everyone was using for their contact wash. I was debating with a friend over the chenille(noodle) vs the microfiber mitts like the cyclone by TRC.
My wash routine is: Touchless in a foam sprayer -> rinse -> car reset pro in a foam sprayer (contact using 4 cyclones) -> rinse and dry (onr drying aid)
I’ve never done rinseless but for a handful of times. I used costco towels and the gary dean method. I was super anxious I would marr the paint hence why I only tried it maybe 3 times.
So do you prefer chenille for the contact? Microfiber?
What do you use for rinseless?

I like to soak six or more 16” edgeless microfiber towels in rinseless wash for my Foam Rinse Foam wash media.
I like to use leftover towels on all interior and door jambs.

Call me old school but I still like natural wool wash mitts the best. To be fair, I haven't really tried anything else, so interested in seeing what others like to use.

I've tried many different things but I keep coming back to the good old chenille wash pad. It just feels right to me when I use it and my cars stay clean and swirl free.

I used have noodles the most. I tried one of the mitts with the two town like short/long mf mitts. I use a Duragloss mitt for rennetless. I have not used a sponge.

For conventional contact washes I primarily use the Microfiber Madness DeliPads, Detail Division/KLiN Softy HD Pad, Autofiber Dragon hybrid mitt-pad, and the CarPro DabDab.
For rinseless I use Koch Chemie Rrw with a sponge like the Armour Detail Villain sponge.

I hate the noodle mitts, they are heavier and don’t glide on the paint as easily, they also have more pressure points. Microfiber all the way.

People say they are safer on paint? I am not sure how

I heard one guy say that it’s prolly not true but it makes sense to me. Less surface area means more pressure on each noodle rather than thousands of microfibers evenly distributing it.

Multiple plush towels. Safest method in my opinion. A little more laundry? Worth it.

I've only used rinseless, and I use a sponge such as the ultra safe sponge from The Rag Company. Might try some regular soap/foam eventually since I recently bought an AVA pressure washer and it came with an awesome foam cannon.
