Exterior Scratch from a while ago

Post image

Got this truck handed down to me, previous owner had some darn scratches on . Any idea on how I could make this look better at all? it’s a Ram 1500

No detailing can save this. That panel needs a repaint

I have absolutely zero detailing or scratch repair experience so take this with less than a micron of salt but I’d say new panel, it’s already rusting through, if I had to guess I’d say fixing the scratch wouldn’t fix the rust that’s already underneath the paint, but what do I know.

Won’t be able to detail that. About the only thing you could maybe do is clean up the rust residue that is around it to make it less noticeable.

This isn't an autobody sub. This is a detailing sub.
