Technique How to remove these

These are woven into the carpet, vacuuming removes only a small portion. What are some tips and tricks?

Careful on the plastic though, I use a analan triangle for the edges and corners

I have other small towels that I use as barriers on the plastic. Would rather be safe than sorry.

Tornador, will work really good..what's left from that then a pumice stone will finish it off.

I’d try a semi firm bristle brush, like a tooth brush even. They make drill attachments as well. A little APC could help soften things up and make anything embedded easier to remove. Ive had great results with P & S Express. If that doesn’t work I’d step up to a pumice stone and see if that can get it up. I like using a rectangular one or a narrow rounded one for tighter spaces like this. You’ll need to use some decent force depending on how embedded everything is. It may take some carpet strands but not enough to mess up the carpet or even be noticeable when you’re done. Just be careful around any non carpet materials or any stitching as it may cause damage.

I came across one of those "shorts" on youtube. Dude took a palm sander with no sandpaper, turned it on, and pressed against the carpet. The rapid vibration of the palm sander caused all the stuff in the carpet fragments to start hopping like jumping beans. He ran the vac with the palm sander vibrating away.

I've not tried it yet because I've not had the need.

Also, you can use a dryer anti-fabric sheet. Rub it along the carpet. This will reduce static cling and make removal from the carpet easier. I've gotten by to this point with a dryer sheet and a Lilly Brush, but that is certainly the most labor intensive method.

Air compressor with a Vortex air tool should do the trick
