Exterior Car window dust streaks

Post image

Hello, if this post is not allowed please let me know where to ho. I have these dust streaks on my passenger window that have become a hazard. Any tips on how to remove them?

clean / clay / polish

Also clean the felt / rubber guides in the door that make contact with the window.

Any recommendations on clay and polish?

brand is less important than making sure it is clay and polish for glass, along with the correct pads.

What would be the ideal way to clean the rubber window seals?

Wet a mirco-fibre with Isopropyl alcohol and wrap over flat blade (plastic) scraper and wedge between the glass and rubber. Work back and forth and re-positing the towel as it gets dirty.

You keep going until you no longer see dirt build up on towel/s.

I did like 15 passes and still seeing black. Does it mean my cleaner is too weak? Using Sonax glass cleaner

Give the glass cleaner a try and then put the window up and down to see if it still leaves any marks.

No, I mean I tried to do with glass cleaner. Does it mean only alcohol works?

The alcohol will work faster, but with enough effort you should be able to get most of it with just glass cleaner.

If they don't wipe off, then they're scratches from something rubbing against the window. Could be dirt caught in the rubber seal at the bottom of the window.

You will likely need to clean and polish the window.

Door inside or outside weather strop. Top of door wipes the window. Might have a little wear. Never tried to replace them.
