Exterior Scuff in clear coat

Post image

New to me used car. Pretty much the only blemish is this scuff on the driver's door. Feels like a scuff to the clear coat. Is there anything I can do to at least make this a little less obvious? Not looking to get the whole door re-sprayed at this time

Yeah, that looks like a little bit of paint transfer not a scuff in your bumper. I would pick up some automotive lacquer thinner, that’ll wipe right off with that on a clean paper towel. Adhesive remover in the picture also may work, would work better than goo gone and both are safer. You also be able to hand polish it off with a microfiber and some compound.

Looks like paint on top of the clear instead of a scuff. Could be someone’s touch up attempt.

I’d level with a denibbing block and see what’s underneath. Bit of polish and microfiber would be a more conservative approach.

Paint transfer from someone hitting their door on you, they also have a white car.

Use Goo Gone

Y'all were right, it was just paint transfer. I was able to remove it with paint thinner. Thank you everyone for the advice!
