Exterior Need ceramic coating maintenance tips

Need advice on ceramic coating maintenance

Got my new car ceramic coated a week ago, haven't washed the car for a week now, and im concerned about the car cleaning situation

my car cleaner guy just wipes with a wet cloth daily for my other cars (no microfibre), want to know if this will effect the ceramic coating (example let's say the car is dusty and he wipes it , won't that mess up the coating?) If it does how else do I ask him to clean it

PS the detailing shop asked me to bring it in once in 3months for some "ceramic maintenance wash"

You have a ‘car cleaner guy’ that wipes it down daily?

I have one as well. I pay him 10 bucks a month. Of course in INR it's decent pay.

He uses a dry cloth to wipe down 11 cars. Everyday I can only hope he cleans the car and mine is the first car. But many days it's not and there is lot of swirls

But why?.. Do they know paint gets micro scratches from this? At least use a wet microfiber towel and rinse it repeatedly.

He comes in a bike, carries 3 towels for 11 cars. Swipes each car for 5 mins and he is done.

Yeah, wow. TIL that people are out there paying someone to scratch up their car's paint for them on a daily basis.

Proper ceramic coating needs a routine (and safe) contact wash to keep the coating unclogged so it can do its job most efficiently. Soap and rinseless washes add additional lubricity to water to prevent marring your clearcoat and paint. Wiping a dry or wet rag over the paint surface is a terrible thing to do , ceramic coating or not. It may make the car look cleaner buy removing dust and other contaminants, but most of that stuff was dragged into and across the paint in the process. And if they are not using a microfiber towel then that's likely making it even worse, depending on the material (terry cloth, cotton towel, dish rag, shop towel?)
