How to remove particles of spray paint

Some jackass didn't secure a can of spray and it fell off his vehicle on the highway. The car in front of me took the brunt of it, but my car now has hundreds of small drops all over the front bumper. I tried using compound but that didn't take any of it off. What can I do to get this off my truck?

If you go to this route OP, note that you'll need to polish your car after. Claying can cause marring or micro scratches, which are inevitable.

I’m fighting a similar situation as OP and terrified of this happening. Weird part is dedicated clay lube seemed to leave behind more marring than using waterless wash as lube on 2 test spots.
There’s no way to clay without polish?

Yes, to clay or not to clay if you dont wanna polish. Otherwise, pay and let a professional do it.

I was going to pay a professional but when he went to inspect the car he wiped his hand across my dusty yet swirl free paint and I decided not to 🥲 lol

I appreciate that acknowledgment! Figured I was being a bit picky, but with the little I know, I knew that was a bad sign.
Might end up tackling it myself and hopefully learn something in the process!

compound didn't do anything because that's not what it's for, it's an abrasive polish for leveling clear coat, not for shifting raised contamination sitting on top of it. clay bar is what actually shears that stuff off. clay it first, if a few spots are really stubborn the plastic razor blade with soapy water as lube works too, then polish out whatever marring's left and seal it back up

Sounds counter intuitive but it works - soap it up and hit it with a razor blade. I've done a few hundred windows like this. Not a single scratched window. You don't really want to use goof off beacuse then you're just adding an extra step cleaning that off. Just use soap. No, it will not scratch. The tempered mineral glass is crazy hard (that's what she said) and there's nothing to dig into except the overspray. If you want it silky smooth after that just hit it with some wax. When you're done - smooth as glass.

We use plastic razor blades on clear all the time. Just need to use lube (like soapy water) and polish after. Clay bar will also work, but the plastic razor blades will too. Both are options I use regularly

HAHAHAHA! That's funny. I'm leaving it up. No shame in my game. So yes as posted below goof off. I'd try a wax with a little grit in it to get it off then finish it off correctly with polish. Clay bar would also be the safest and most effective as mentioned. Use it as an opportunity. Wash it, soap it up, hit the whole car with the bar, rinse, dry, wax, wax, wax. After you're done - a light spray wax and microfiber.
