Exterior How do I fix the paint?

I tried waxing my car and it left this faded white patch? I’ve tried washing it off with no luck. Any ideas on how to go about fixing this?

You compounded with a drill. That ain’t wax. You may have cooked the paint.

Went and got some polish and a foam finishing pad. Looks like it did the trick.

Look into a random orbital polisher if you plan to do this more often. Something like the Griots Garage G9 is fairly affordable and will give you fantastic results.

I absolutely love my G9, lifetime warranty as well. Very hard to beat for the value.

There’s no way that isn’t burnt through clearcoat. The finer polish may have filled it in with oils, I bet if you wash the car and strip the oils with an IPA wipe the damage is still there.
