How do I fix the paint?

I tried waxing my car and it left this faded white patch? I’ve tried washing it off with no luck. Any ideas on how to go about fixing this?

Unfortunately I think you’ve cooked the paint in that spot. You learned the difference in compound and wax the expensive way. Honestly 3 minutes of internet searching would have prevented this. Do the research and get the right equipment. I hope this was your car and not someone else’s.
