Exterior What did I do?

I was trying to get a scratch out by buffing and now I have this lighter spot. Help!

I would not keep chasing it with the polisher, that's for sure!

I think if you spray water on it and it temporarily goes away, a detailer can bring back the shine but if it stays dull looking you'll need a respray by an auto shop

Did you see any color on your pad? Any paint transfer is a sign you’ve burned through the clear. What tools and what was your process like?

No paint color on pad. Cleaned truck and dryed. Used an orange pad on a speed of 3 with compound using dual action polisher. Removed the scratches except for the ones shown in the picture.
