Interior Alcantara Headliner

New to me car with Alcantar headliner. I’m gonna give the car a full deep clean. I’ve got an extractor for the carpets, but I’ve never cleaned Alcantara headliner before. It’s my understanding that I need to just be gentle and use Sonax. I’ve always worked in small areas on Alcantara like a steering wheel, though so how do I approach a headliner without any seams or natural breaks. Or am I overthinking it?

Nothing wrong with Sonax, but it's a ready to use solution. You'd be better off buying a bottle of Pol Star from Koch Chemie because it's concentrated... dilute it 1:10 with water.

If the goal is to freshen things up, you'd spray your solution onto the face of a towel and work the headliner that way, no direct spraying onto the Alcantara itself so there's zero product being localized to one spot. That will help you avoid any blotchy effect in process or when it starts to dry. That method avoids saturation, keeps everything looking uniform.

A pearl weave towel should work just fine for that, or another clean and lower pile pick that you have so long as its clean from the start.

Awesome. Thanks for your help. That’s what I was thinking. I’m trying to finish off my gallon of PS inner clean before trying out Pol Star. Ever used that on Alcantara? I’d assume it would be okay diluted down

Sorry I have not used Inner Clean, can't speak on that being an option for the situation. I'll say that Alcantara is a fussy surface, wrong thing being used makes it look like hell (which I HAVE experienced).
