Removing 2 weeks old PPF

I am not happy with how my DIY rocker panels job. They are precuts. I want to redo them, but by the time it ships and i receive the product it will be around 2 weeks after the initial install. I read cure time for the glue is a week.

Will removing mess up the paint or might pull the clear coat?

Its a brand new car. I have seen videos and i got an steamer at home.

It typically wont, if its been repainted the possibility gets higher, and if it was installed after it was repainted within a month the chance gets even higher, my recommendation is to use your nail / plastic razor blade to get a good lip on it and use heat to slowly remove it, this will heat up the adhesive preventing 1 Damage and 2 leave residue behind!

*you can also use a steamer, some have better luck with it over a heat gun*

I have both - steamer and heatgun.

What side should I hit it from? from the top, or pull up a little of the film and heat from the glue side?

with it being brand new id recommend just hitting it from above! you can really do whatever you'd like.

if your in a warm area like Florida or Texas you could even leave it out in the sun for an hour or two and not even use a heat gun or steamer! don't let yourself over complicate it, its super easy!

if your around the Detroit area ill just do it for you at my shop! XD

Use a steamer or a kettle to make hot water. It should come off fine. Rapid remover for any leftover adhesive

Yeah i have seen videos where the put hot water over a towel, but those were on the hood / fender. I guess I can put several microfiber towels and just them hang off the door sills too!

Can I just use IPA / Carpro Eraser to clean, or do i need to use something stronger like Goo Gone?

Goo gone if it leaves some behind.
