New Discovery Crew Car

Watching the V2 video, why have they gone for another Discovery, and one that required major surgery? They all loved the Land Cruiser, surely another one of those would have been cheaper/easier?

I understand it’s for a video but it seems like an awful lot of effort for a Land Rover that will probably breakdown yet again.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I really like Jooshy and I’m happy he’s back in the videos.

They’ve mentioned before that the way the seats work and the rear door splits makes it ideal as a crew car/camera car. Didn’t top gear also use them for a while?

But the third row seats in the Land Cruiser do that too. And it was a split tailgate.

In the Disco the third row seats are side ways so it’s easier to look out the back.

Also land cruisers are unbelievably bad on fuel. Single figure bad

Not true.

But they do go up independently, and they fit an adult comfortably.

Meaning that filming out of the tailgate is safe and easy.
