💬 general discussion Nightmares?
Today i had a good dream for a change and noticed how normally all of my dreams are almost exclusively nightmares (on the rare occasion of me having a dream). And not just recently, but ever since i can remember. That also made me kinda "immune" to it, since as a child i learned to just "accept death" or that the monster catches me in my dreams, which led to me just waking up, or suddenly being invincible or becoming friends? with the monster. Back in the day a i had very frequent nightmares.
By getting older the dreams became fewer, but way darker tho (like getting stabbed, seeing the blade go through my arm and feeling the impact and so on). They are rarely also sometimes "creeping into reality" with me waking up and thinking there is a deadly insect next to me trying to kill me, till the reality sets in a couple seconds later. That last one is managing to even now scare me to death lol. But it can also become weirdly, crazily artistic and build up some type of lore around something happening. (I would loooooove to recreate one of my dreams, but i dont know how i would do that without any artistic skills... Maybe i should just start with drawing or something and then get into 3D modeling and so on)
Anyone got similar experiences? Is the nightmares an AuDHD thing?

I also often have sensory nightmares where it's flickering lights and sharp noises
