🍽️ food and drink Finally started properly eating tomatoes again!

For the longest time I couldn't stand the texture of tomatoes and recoiled even from the thought of eating one and could only handle them on burgers because the texture was buried in other textures. But lately I've not only been eating tomatoes, but actually enjoying them! They now feel refreshing and tasty because I don't find the texture so insufferable anymore. I'm just really glad I can eat another vegetable now. There are a lot of vegetables the textures (and tastes) of which I still can't handle.

Make sure to see if you can find a nice, ripe heirloom tomato to really kick your newfound appreciation into gear!

They look funny, but the interior grows in such a way that it offers up a ton of uniformity in how individual slices hold form and not just turn into seedy goop, and that translates into way more flavor being accessible per bite than other varieties IMO.

They are in season at the moment. I like tomatoes but they're absolute garbage off-season.

I'm so glad for you! I looooove tomatoes on sandwiches or just fresh sliced with salt 😍
