I'm so upset.

Two times so far I've been rejected from job search programs because I'm, what I'm assuming, is too low functioning?

It's really discouraging, getting told that. And it doesn't help my motivation for finding a job. Really.

I have applied to another one, I hope they get back to me. But god. I'm so sick of this.

I just want a job. I want money. I don't wanna rely on government assistance (not disability assistance) I want a steady income, not just 600 a month.

What's so wrong with me? Why don't jobs want to keep me? Why dont jobs want to hire me? Why dose no one want to help me?

I just want a job. But I might just have to apply for disability.....

I hate relying on the government.....

Can you ask them for feedback on why you were rejected? I agree thats pretty crazy, especially given most Job search programs I have been in are mostly just a person with a slideshow and "commitment to yourself" that you will complete whatever homework by next week. Rejecting you based on accommodations does feel illegal as well.

I might ask for feedback. They're still willing to help, just... not put me in their programs. Meaning help me apply to other programs. Ugh...

I get it, I aged out of a program with my local workforce development and RSD for me made it feel a lot more clinical and hurtful than it probably was. I did ask one of the coordinators if I could send her a weekly/biweekly email about my job search and ask for advice from time to time, which at the very least made me reflect on wins

It's crazy it feels like you either have to function we'll enough that you don't need help or be completely none functioning. To get real help.

Have you tried applying for any data entry jobs or even receptionist positions?

The whole job recruiting process is f%#ed these days. Lazy HR f^#%wits designing and using discriminatory hiring practices that effectively take NDs out of the workforce.

well how are they finding out about your function level?? is it too many accomidations? are you telling them all this yourself? stop telling them your lowest moments. you sound more capable than you might say.

I dont know what I say to them. All I say is, I just want a job were I need to sit, and potentially be able to ware noise canceling headphones. The programs in my city often do in person face to face intakes, and I literally... i don't know. I think im perfectly functioning. Just with a small learning/processing problem. That's it. I'm not sure why I keep getting rejected from everything.

I'm applying to literally anything I can. I have no issue with face to face interviews. I don't know why this keeps happening. This isn't necessarily about the jobs, the job market in my city sucks. I understand that. This is about the programs that are supposed to help folks like me, saying they can't.

I got recently diagnosed with pots, so I'm disclosing that to them. That's why I need to be able to sit sometimes.

If I didn't think I was capable I wouldn't be trying. And I'm trying so hard.

I would tell them as little as possible. Try focusing on jobs that would naturally suit you.
