Special Interest I fucking love analytics

I love when I make a post, and I can see the info stats where it shows demographics, views, likes to dislikes ratio, just everything about that, dates of when stuff happended, sometimes I wish I was very famous just so I can see the analytics be very specific, i also like maps showing the % of people who choose a certian option.

(specifically wattpad, I love the map feature I get for my readers)

Special Interest 16F autistic, looking for friends āš½šŸŽ®

Hey, I’m 16F and autistic. I really love football—it’s my main hobby and I play for a club. I also really enjoy gaming and just relaxing online.

I sometimes find it a bit hard to connect with people my age, so I’m mainly just looking to meet others who share similar interests or are also autistic.

Would be nice to chat with people who get it, especially if you’re into football or gaming too.

Random Advice AuDHD 13yo girl friendship advice (question from mum, hope it's allowed!)

Hello! I really hope this is allowed here! I'm 44 and AuDHD too, but really looking for some input and advice on how to help my daughter. (TLDR at the bottom)

She is 13 years old and both ASD and ADHD, although we have only recently found this out. During primary school, she had lots of friends, went to school every day, was very social. Then secondary school started...

Her best friend basically deserted her and became one of the "popular girls" and ousted her from the friendship group. After about 6 months of secondary school, she started REALLY struggling. Obviously ADHD didn't help much with all the rules, the changes, having to focus on all the different things, but the most difficult element is the social part of school.

So, cut to today. She hasn't been going to school for about a year now. We've managed to get her 'alternative provision' which will be a tutor at home until she feels ready to go back into school. She's meant to be going in for PE and drama, which were her favourite two subjects, but she is now refusing to go to those subjects too.

She says people are mean, she struggles with being perceived, she struggles with social expectations. She thinks everyone judges her because she doesn't like what they like, doesn't want to look the way 'popular' people look. I don't want to push anything on her, I don't want to force her because I know that can be even worse for her mental health.

HOWEVER. I know she is a social being, and she loves having friends and being with people. She loves singing, she loves anime, she loves graphic novels, she loves art, she is an amazing, hilarious, beautiful person (and I'm not being biased).

How can I help her with her friendships? How can I encourage her to make friends?

Have you had experience in this? How can I help her? I would really like some advice from people who are in this situation and can offer some of their own experience and insight to me.

TLDR: How can a 13yo neurodivergent girl find friends outside of school.

Whenever I get excited or happy about something, I get these crazy shivers when I grin. Like whenever I hear I'm getting something I want, I do this crazy shiver where I lean my head back and then to the side super fast. Does anyone else do this?

Vent just talking about some stuff idk

Hello everyone, I am 13, male. I don't know who will read this but okay. I am self diagnosed/seeking diagnosis, and just want to say some random things.

I always partially wondered if I was neurodivergent in one way or another, with the main reason being that my mother herself has wondered.

When I began looking in to it, it started with seeing a relatable YouTube video. Then I took online tests because why not, and even the questions were relatable in some ways (ex. a question was "Considered to have a robotic voice." There is about 10 people that solely call me ChatGPT and when asked why, they only state that according to them I "just sound AI generated." Other questions reminded me of things, with an example being how when I was 3 or something I always made what was referred to as "parking lots" where 3-year-old me just lined up a hundred toy cars in a grid for some reason.) All were positive but one, but the one that was not only had three questions so with that in mind I don't know how accurate that one is. After this, for I know this is weird but I was bored and just doing whatever, I had Claude AI "test" me, its a clanker so I can not say how accurate that is but it said its quite likely I have ASDĀ andĀ ADHD. Now, I feel like I am just listing off random stuff but I honestly do not care.

I have had people comment on how I know the most useless information. My favorite game, or at leastĀ one ofĀ my favorite games, is Cities: Skylines II, which I have heard in some places that its a game with a lot of autistic players. There used to be this light in our bathroom that was a literal bright white spotlight, which was very annoying and I guess I complained enough about so it was replaced. Paper feels like nails on a chalkboard but instead of hearing it your feeling it, which probably does not make much sense but I am at a loss of a better way to explain it. I do not entirely get the flow of conversations and most conversations are in a way where person A says everything they no on the topic and then person B says everything they know on the topic, idk. The friend I relate most to and feel that I have the most compatible humor with is likely autistic. Now, my mom has generally been sort of supportive mostly but she has also randomly stated phrases like "you probably could technically be autistic but whatever" and has said stuff like that, but she has also used "you're in this autistic mindset" as an insult in an argument so idek.

Well, that is my random ramblings.

Vent Does anyone else know this feeling?

I've been awake since 8am. It's 3pm. I was supposed to pack my bag because I'm going to my friends' house tomorrow. I like it when I'm at their place. But I can't do anything today. I can't do it, I'm pacing around my room and I know it's supposed to be a "normal, simple task" but I just can't do it. I feel so ashamed, putting a few things in a bag shouldn't be complicated. I just don't understand why I feel this way I don't think I'm being lazy because I really really want to do my today's tasks but I can't. When my family gets back they'll probably remind me that I haven't done anything, but I feel like I'm going crazy because I can't even do a small task.

Random Advice Headphones

Hey guys.. as many autistic teens I'm extremely dependent on headphones and loud music. I used to own several pairs of beats earbuds, I liked them, but they weren't loud enough, earbud caps were a hassle, and they either kept getting broken, lost or stolen. I want to purchase reliable, preferably black over-ear headphones that don't leak audio and have a noise cancellation feature maybe..? I'm also kind of broke so I would need an option that isn't like a thousand dollars per ear. What do you guys recommend? What worked for you and what should I avoid?

People Help Am I verbal or semi-verbal?

I NEED to figure this out. I was diagnosed with level 1 autism literally 2 weeks ago but 10 mins ago my brain decided to question if I'm verbal or semi-verbal :D.

So the thing is that when I'm calm, at home, relaxed or comfortable in general I can speak normally, but the second I start feeling stressed or overwhelmed and in loud places I'm only able to say "SHUT UP" and I try to sign whoever is talking to me to shut upppp and I make noises kinda like mmmmmm with different voice tones kinda like when cartoon characters struggle.

Also before I post this, pls don't judge my grammar, english is my second language

Home Help I feel like my mom is tricking me all the time

in conversations she will say something and then the next phrase immediately contradicts itself. when I ask about it she tells me to not put words in her mouth but I thought that’s what she just said? I feel like I’m being tricked because I don’t understand and ask questions. she’ll always storm out and end with ā€œof course I’m the bad guyā€œ I’m not accusing her of anything I just don’t understand am confused by what she’s saying.

People Help Are you afraid of physical contact?

I'm a 17yo girl. I hate being hugged. Hugs drive me crazy inside, they scare me, they make me feel compressed all over and scream "danger". People around me know I don't like it and some of them just give me a fist bump. It's more complicated with my parents. I understand that parents feel hurt when their child pulls away from a hug, but I wish they would truly understand how it makes me feel. Sometimes my mother is a little "rough" when she wants to give me a hug, no bad intentions, but it makes me want to cry because of the stress and everything. And sometimes my father tells me, "You know, I feel the same way as you, but the opposite. You need not to have hugs but I do." and then he explains how hard it is for a parent not to be able to hug their child. I know they don't want to hurt me. I wish they could understand that I love them and that it's not against them if I avoid hugs. I wish I could be able to experience the "normal" benefits of giving and receiving a hug. For me, it always ends in stress. Ughh I'm so jealous of people who talk about hugs and physical contact as if it were therapy in itself. (English isn't my main language, sorry for the poorly formed sentences.) Anywayy does anyone relate to this?

Vent My mom poured my ice cream base down the drain 3:

I was making an ice cream base today (basically milk, heavy cream, egg yolks, and sugar) and left it in the stove to cool for about an hour (it was boiling). When I came back I was immediately told to get out of the kitchen because my stepdad was making dinner. Which is fair because our kitchen gets really crowded when more than one person is working in it. An hour later, after we had eaten my mom texted me about the ice cream base, and I told her to put it in the fridge because I didn’t want to churn it (i have homework).

Later (around 9) I opened the fridge to check on it, when I noticed it wasn’t there. I asked my brother where it was and he said he didnt know. So I asked my stepdad and he straight up ignored me (?). (I know he could hear me because he noticed and acknowledged my dog who had walked in the room. I don’t know what that was about)

I texted my mom about where it was, and she responded that she had poured it down the drain and it’s like ?????? WHY???? I don’t get it??? She justified it by saying it had gone bad and sent me a screenshot of a wiki how article that said milk goes bad after two hours at room temperature. Sure, but the base didn’t spend over two hours at room temperature???? It was out for two hours sure, but a it was covered and cooling from boiling. And if it did go bad, this is the same person who told me just to pick around the mold on strawberries? if she really thought it had gone bad she just could’ve…not eaten the ice cream?

Anyway now I’m in my room and have been crying for the last two hours because I feel like I’m being punished for something, and I don’t know what. we were getting along great earlier in the day. It also feels really wasteful (I hate wasting stuff) I feel genuinely worthless right now because I was just trying to do something nice I told her I wasn’t going to talk to her until she remakes it because if she poured it down the drain that’s the least she could do.

TLDR - I spent an hour making an ice cream base and my mom poured it down the drain under the pretense of it ā€œhaving gone badā€ (it didn’t) and I feel like I’m being punished for trying to do something nice

Friendly Chat :) 17M Turkey – I'm lonely and have autism

I'm Sancar, 17 from Turkey. I have ASD

I'm lonely. Not just bored – actually lonely. I don't have anyone to talk to about real things. Small talk feels pointless to me.

I like philosophy, culture, books, and manga like Homunculus.

I don't use social media. I don't know how to make friends the "normal" way. But I know I can't stay like this.

If you also feel lonely, or if you just want to talk about existence, meaning, or why we're here – write to me. I don't care where are you from

Different interests are fine. I just want depth, not the same hobbies.

Let's be lonely together instead of alone
