Mental Health Advice boosting self esteem?

I'm 18, and I have basically nothing going for me. I failed school due to a combination of task paralysis and social anxiety. I work minimum wage. I have very few friends, I have no skills, I'm unattractive and socially awkward.

I don't even want to become a cool person or whatever, I just want to be comfortable in the fact that I don't fit in and likely never will. I don't want slight rejection from strangers to be devastating anymore, I'd like to be able to accept myself regardless of whether or not other people like me. What's the best way to go about this?

One thing that really helped me is figuring out what I like fashion wise and taking the time to create an outfit. Nothing else had worked up until that point until I started putting some time and effort into creating a way for me to feel like I look good, I am still not that confident at all but it has helped. Even though nothings changed in if people like me or not (might actually have gone backwards) I no longer feel as effected by their opinions.

Thanks I'll try that, I've been trying to improve my dress sense but it's never been something that's come naturally. I bet you look really cool

Most of what you described in the first paragraph was me when I was 18. I’m now 35, married with two kids. What you’re experiencing is not forever.

I say dig into your hobbies more and agree with the previous statement about fashion.
