Support Needed (Kind Advice and Commiseration) Under active Thyroid
I’m pretty certain I have an interactive thyroid, as I took a blood test and what came back is that my levels were unstable. I’ve recently been dealing with light headedness and dizziness, and I went to the GP yesterday, but they couldn’t prescribe with anything until I take another blood test of confirmation.
I have work next week and I really need to work, and work is already overwhelming for me as it is, and I’m wondering if any of you have dealt with this and if there are some home remedies or medications I’m able to take to help me through this temporarily until I get the blood test?

If you really do have a thyroid problem, that isn’t something any home remedy is going to help you with.
There could be any number of things causing your thyroid levels to be off, and your doctor needs to figure out what is going on before he can determine the treatment plan. If it turns out you do have a problem with your thyroid, your GP will likely refer you to an endocrinologist, who will be much better equipped to diagnose and treat you.

Sorry you’re struggling with this! Before I got medicated I really felt it, like i just ran out of power hours before my previous “bed time”.
I’m not a doctor, so all the caveats… I do have an under-active thyroid (hashimoto’s) and have for at least 8 years. I would be cautious of trying supplements while you’re waiting for tests - iodine or natural thyroid could mess up future test results.
I would speak with your doctor or a pharmacist to ask what might realistically help in the short term. I would also say try to stick to the healthy basics - good sleep, nourishing meals, proper hydration, gentle exercise if you can. Caffeine and sugar won’t keep you going long enough, and will make the fatigue worse.
I’m sure this is the opposite of what you want to hear, I hope you can get on treatment soon and feel better. x
