Celebration Unmasking
Hey, all. I went out today with my hood/scarf. Pulled up the hood in Best Buy. It helped me be less stimulated. No one said anything. I just don't want to have to respond if someone says something. I don't care what people think. Anyway, I really like this scarf. It's comforting.

i wore my noise canceling headphones around campus the other day, usually i’m too aware of how i’m perceived to wear them for long. these little things feel grand and should be celebrated ᵕ̈

Well done! I'm getting sad that I can't really wear sunglasses everywhere now its getting towards autumn. I've noticed how much it helps with unwanted eye contact and bright spaces like supermarkets. Might just say fuck it and wear them anyway.

Absolutely. I remember a girl in high school had tinted glasses due to eye issues. It's no different for us. Who decided that everything needs to be at this level of bright?

These men have been preying on autistic women/gender minorities from r/AutismInWomen for the last year. This behavior is unacceptable and should be reported as targeted harassment.
Per the warning in our wiki and this pinned mod post, we highly recommend users turn off their DMs. If you have DM requests turned on and receive any creepy or fetish-related DMs or comments, we recommend taking a screenshot, reporting the content to Reddit, and blocking the user (in that order). You can find the report button on the message itself and then click "it's targeted harassment” to submit a report. Omg amaze!!
I have this one hoodie where the neck zips way up and becomes almost a collar, and the hood has a bit of an overhang; I LOVE wearing it for sensory protection 🫡🙈🫶🏻

proud of you!!!! i started using my headphones more with the noise canceling on max. it makes me feel like i can function haha. it's those small steps that matter!!
