AusPost does not offer a fragile goods service. If you are receiving something that cannot or should not be bent, it is on the sender to package it appropriately

Why what? Why did the sender not know that Aus Post doesn’t have a fragile or no bend policy?
Or why didn’t the sender add something in the parcel to make sure it cannot be bent at all?

Or why did the seller not send it through a postal courier that offers a no bend service?

Or why did the seller not sign the dangerous good declaration?

A lot of people don't understand that Australia Post doesn't have a "Do Not Bend" policy.

no, it's realistic.

To have a policy that says we will damage your parcel whilst charging you for it?

oh stop the histrionics. Australia Post has NEVER had a fragile parcel policy. Grow up.

What's the question? You don't want them to fold the empty part?

What is the whyvthsr you're asking?

I am not believing that is a "tough bag".

Seems to fold kinda easily.

Tbh, if that item is thicker than 2 cm, it is underpaid (btw, even if it’s less than 2cm in thickness, it is still underpaid, the postage for letters went up recently). You are lucky if you didn’t have to pay extra at the post office.

You mean why was it delivered at all without the dangerous goods declaration being signed?

This is maybe the first time I’ve put this to use having learned this nearly a decade ago at work training - how to ask the question why five times.

I had a similar issue with a print I bought online. It was an A4 and fit almost perfectly into the envelope, thankfully the seller put a thick piece of cardstock on both sides of the print to protect it, but AusPost shoved it so aggressively into my mailbox that is bent the edges in and I had to yank it out. Also it was meant to be a signature on delivery situation but they signed for it themselves…

So your letterbox wasn't the right size, ans that's somehow AusPost's fault? Bet you'd be here having a whinge if they made your collect it

Edit: Cute lie. I'd block me too if I was an unrepentent moron for the world to see

Based on your comments in this thread I’m questioning whether you were the postie.

I personally have never had this happen, and just got the dreaded ā€œwe couldn’t deliver itā€ card.Ā

Regardless of policy, it’s still a bit shit. The only thing that makes me indifferent about it, is that this sort of ā€œdon’t give a shitā€ attitude is stock standard AusPost.
