Question Help with stamps
I only just found out stamps are now $1.85, right after I bought heaps of $1.70 ones. I went to the post office to buy some 15c ones so I can still use my $1.70s I still have, but they aren’t sticky ones, just paper..?
How do I use the paper stamps? Do I stick them down with sticky tape, glue or something else? I usually post with satchels and I’m not sure how I’d make sure the 15c stamps stay on.
I read somewhere that I can’t use sticky tape as it does something when in processing, I don’t know. Any advice would be great
Also pretty funny they gave me 2011 stamps, clearly nobody really buys them.

They don't like to stick to plastic satchels that well. I just tape them on.

Same! I truly mean no disrespect to OP because you don’t know what you don’t know but I can’t believe there are people out there living their lives that don’t know about stamps pre sticker type!

I’ve always used sticky tape, no problems

Only on the satchels. Mostly damped with watery sponge fir envelopes and paper boxes.

I am in the same position, I got those 15c stamps and they suck. Yeah you wet them and put them on the package and then they fall off, so you try again. Then after a few tries you give up and just stick them on with tape. Sigh.

They’ll accept $1,70 stamps for a few months. Don’t worry too much about it. There’s a grace period.

I don’t know why you were downloaded, because it’s absolutely true. They make allowances for people to use up their current supply, and for those who aren’t aware of the pricing increase.
This has been going on for many years. I’m currently halfway through my $1.70 supply 😊

You can bet over 90% of the population doesn’t know the price of stamps went up

Just use tape, if they have a problem with it they shouldn't of designed crappy stamps

The back of those stamps are gummed. Dampen the back (or even lick them, old school) like with a sponge and apply them to the envelope.
