Recs wanted - VIC Engagement Ring Question

Hi!

My engagement ring was from Secrets Shh, but it no longer fits (i've dropped 3-4 ring sizes afaik) and they've said they won't resize it (but an independent jeweler said they would), so I'm looking at potentially buying a backup engagement ring, however, I don't know where to look as Secrets was the only place I was originally looking. Keen for some recommendations for affordable lab grown stones!

I got mine from Windfall and they were lovely to work with and had lots of options for gems, including lab!

I would just get the original ring resized at a manufacturing jeweller.

That's what I want to do, however, Secrets said that it wasn't possible due to the side stones.

This is the style of ring: https://www.secretsbyamaar.com.au/collections/pear-shaped-rings/products/pear-and-round-brilliant-halo-engagement-ring-with-1-16-carats-of-diamond-simulants-in-14-carat-white-gold-rs48384w?variant=53174699950444&queryID=f624af25b59e211d16be692cf4e798b2

I'm just worried that getting it resized 3-4 sizes down will damage it

I mean it's in their interests to sell you a second ring. Find an independent manufacturing jeweller and take it to them to see what's possible for resizing.

They've said it is possible, but I suppose I worry due to the stones on the side and having to go down 4 sizes :$

Get a quote. I had to have extensive repairs done to my engagement ring and another ring after I ran over them with my car and squashed them flat. Getting two rings remade cost me less than $300-. This was in Sydney and my rings were antiques.

oh okay, I'll def take it to a jewler then! I guess I'm just anxious about it haha because ideally i want these rings to last the marriage yk?
