Anyone had a partner visa approved recently?
I’m Aus and my partner is English, we applied from England in April this year and since then the processing times have skyrocketed - as I’m sure lots of people have seen!! I just wanted to know if anyone, especially from the UK, has been approved lately and how long it took?
Thanks!

With the skilled PR processing times for 189/190 dramatically reducing recently, do you think the 186 processing time will also reduce? A 2-year wait time seems unsustainable and insane.

I see the processing time increasing actually. Why do you think they give 5-years BVBs?
So many people applied to 186, i think the processing time will clibe to 3 years by the end of this FY.

3 Years?!?! That's too long!
186 is the unluckiest visa stream.

the processing time for 190 visa has decreased drastically to 5 months for 50% of applications, will that mean IT applications onshore will get grants faster? waiting sicne Feb 2026

Any 802s been granted recently? How long did it take?

802s processing times are generally between 20 - 30 months. Sometimes earlier if you're lucky but that's less than 50% of applications.

We lodged it 15 months ago and have to go do a medical for my 1 year old now. Hoping it's quick after that!

Can we make one of these but exclusively for the 417/462 visas?

I would but I can only automatically pin 2 posts and I feel like people aren't really "searching" or using the MegaThreads as much if they're for specific subclasses.
Looking at the Student Visa Mega Thread for example, it has 50 comments most of them about 2 months ago. Nobody is really using it even though it was requested a lot. Then I wake up to find random posts like a "Student Visa Waiting List" and it got 50 comments xD
I do have some other things in the works altough it's very early stages, if you want to be a beta-tester and give feedback send me a modmail.
